Positive progress on building safety approvals
黑料专区 welcomes confirmation that the Building Safety Regulator will soon accept staged applications for all new higher risk buildings at Gateway Two.
This approach allows groundwork and foundations to proceed while later stages are finalised, helping to unlock delivery without compromising safety or standards. It reflects close collaboration between the Building Safety Regulator and the Construction Leadership Council, and recognises the practical realities facing the construction and Rental Living sectors.
Importantly, full plans, standards and approvals will still be required at each stage, maintaining the focus on high quality, safe homes for residents.
This is a constructive step that supports delivery while upholding the intent of the Building Safety Act. ARL will continue to keep members informed as further guidance is published.
